Job Advert: Multilingual Writing Center Administrator

The Centre for Development and Research in Evaluation (CeDRE) International Africa ( seeks the services of an administrator to coordinate and facilitate research training activities for its Writing and Research Centre located in Harare. The Administrator will develop and manage the facilitation of workshops geared toward graduate students and professional managers in the SADC Region and beyond.


The successful candidate must have a Doctorate and extensive teaching experience, writing, editing and working with both students and academics. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate individual sessions for editing, proofreading, tutoring specific writing projects and providing mentorship. The ability to develop materials and recruit both students and workshop leaders in a variety of languages, especially, French Portuguese and Spanish, is a must have. The understanding of learning styles, academic writing issues for second-language students, and the research process from beginning to end is also critical. The job requires extensive knowledge of Power Point and Microsoft Word, typing speed of 70 wpm, and exceptional presentation and public speaking skills.
